Executive Officer

Archie Wright

 

Since 1988 I have worked in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) areas as Training Development Officer with the Automotive Industry Training Council, Lecturer with Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE), Senior Project Officer with the Employment Division of the Northern Territory Department of Employment Education and Training, through to my current position as Executive Officer of Major Industries Training Advisory Council.

 

Strengths

 

Long term Territorian (26 years). Excellent communication skills, extensive network of contacts in the Northern Territory and Australia, project management, very good knowledge of current issues in VET and workforce development, understanding of Indigenous training issues, public speaking and knowledge of the construction industry.

Project Officer

Michelle Bailey

 

Since 1994 I have worked in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) area. During this time I have worked in such areas as, Lecturer with Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE), Indigenous Traineeship / Apprenticeship Mentor with Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation, and Project Officer with the Community Services and Health Industry Training Advisory Board.

 

I have also undertaken a number of middle management positions such as Assistant Manager with Australian Apprenticeships NT, Course Co-ordinator with BIITE, Project Manager with Human Services Training Advisory Council, and NT Manager with AFL Sports Ready.

 

Strengths

 

Proven track record in project management and the ability to complete projects on time and to budget, in depth understanding of VET and the National Training System, awareness of Indigenous training and employment issues, excellent communication skills and the ability to support and mentor young people.

Project Officer - Electrotechnology

Bob Potter

 

My career started as an electronics technician in the medical electronics and communications sectors before moving to management roles in medium to large Australian based international companies.

 

I have also worked as a Specialist Industry Advisor for the South Australian Government and as a trainer and assessor.

 

Strengths

 

A good understanding of the technologies that underpin the electrotechnology sector. Hands on knowledge of the challenges of running a business and managing people. Knowledge and experience in training delivery and working with Training Packages.
