SkillsDMC Annual National Conference
SkillsDMC has held its National Conference every August since the inaugural conference in 2005. During that time it has come to be regarded as the premier conference for the Resources and Infrastructure sectors.
The upcoming conference will be held on Wednesday 26 August 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney NSW.
The theme for this year's conference is 'Future Focussed Partnerships,' which reflects the need for enterprises, industry associations and government to form partnerships and develop a clear blue print to focus our industry and to ensure it has a solid future. The changing economic times means this conference comes at a crucial time for our industry.

WorldSkills Australia 2009.
WorldSkills Australia is a competition program for young Australians aged 23 years and under interested in challenging their skills and abilities against other young skilled people in their region, the nation and the world, and is proudly supported by the Northern Territory government.
The NT is running the 2009 Worldskills Regional Open and VET in schools competitions in 10 trade and industry categories including refrigeration, as well as welding, hairdressing and beauty, cookery, business services, food and beverage, tourism and primary industries.

CPSISC 2009 Conference - Meeting the Challenges
The 2009 Construction & Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC) conference looks at what you need to successfully meet the needs of industry for the future in terms of learning, recognition and skills development.

Understanding the Apprenticeship / Traineeship System

Mining Industry Skills Centre (MISC) - Project Canary
Imagine a mine site with zero harm to employees! An industry first serious games-based simulation training tool has been developed by the Mining Industry Skills Centre in collaboration with simulation experts, QuinetiQ.
Project Canary is a unique initiative for the resources industry that will enable users to truly apply the skills of risk assessment while encouraging behavioural change around safe working practices.
